iedc logoTaylor Dietz will teach Marketing & Attraction at the International Economic Development Council’s (IEDC) Basic Economic Development Course on Black Hills State University – Rapid City’s campus on October 9, 2024. The Basic Economic Development Course is an introductory course that will expose attendees to fundamental topics impacting the profession. Participants can expect to learn about business retention & expansion, real estate development, small business & entrepreneurship, and economic development finance, ethics, strategic planning, and much more. This course is often recommended for individuals just starting their careers in economic development because it covers a lot of content over the week, but it can be a great refresher for seasoned professionals as well!

Quest is passionate about helping communities achieve economic growth. Marketing and attraction are inherent to the process, and Taylor is excited to share both the economic developer and site selection perspective with this year’s attendees. Taylor achieved her Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) in May 2022 and appreciates the opportunity to help advance the industry through professional development at the Fuel the Growth – 2024: Advancing Economic Development in Communities course.
