As the COVID-19 pandemic has swept throughout the United States, the entire business landscape has been disrupted. Delaware Prosperity Partnership, however, is continuing its work to attract, grow and retain companies, build a stronger entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem and support private employers in identifying, recruiting and developing talent throughout Delaware. Part of DPP’s work involves engaging with representatives from various sectors of the economic development arena to discuss how the crisis is affecting what they do and what the disruption means to Delaware.

New Hire – Walker Seman

Walker Seman, a Furman University student, is interning with Quest over the summer. At Quest, Walker is assisting with data analysis including property and infrastructure assessments, workforce analysis, and GIS applications. Walker is currently studying Economics, with a planned graduation date of May 2020. He has completed internships for the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and Furman University Athletic Department.

While continuing McCallum Sweeney’s site certification programs, the gold standard in the industry, Quest has expanded our economic development services to include a variety that may be a better fit for participants from a time and financial commitment perspective. Services such as the Quick Assess or Site Evaluation require much less resources than a full certification while still providing an enhanced deliverable outlining property strengths and deficiencies as well as recommendations for furthering the readiness of the proposed property. At Quest, we understand that properties are at various levels of readiness and one size does not fit all. Quest is willing to tailor our services to fit the needs of our clients while still providing the highest level of service and industry expertise.
